WONDERLAND
Year: 2021
Role: Writer, Director, Editor
Wonderland is a narrative short film created for one of my classes. It follows a young college student as his world gets turned upside-down when he is shrunk to the size of an ant. Honey, I Shrunk the Kids was a big inspiration, and I wanted to give the film a lighthearted, fun tone while also conveying the sense of wonder and amazement that the main character experiences. It required me to think creatively about executing the special effects necessary to make the shrinking illusion believable. Shooting on a green screen was a new experience for me, and it was challenging to ensure that the foreground and background shots would align seamlessly in post-production. Overall, this project helped me develop my skills in storytelling and visual effects, and it was rewarding to see the final product come together.
Wonderland was shot using a Canon 60D and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
