Fun in (Advanced) 3D
Utilizing After Effects's new Advanced 3D rendered, I made this 3D, isometric animation. I've been having a lot of fun playing around with this renderer and getting more comfortable in true 3D workspaces. I'm most comfortable with the AE interface, so it's nice that I can get some experience outside of software like Blender or Cinema4D.
I also utilized the Essential Graphics panel in compositing this animation. Using it meant I didn't have to separate each character out onto its own layer and could just adjust the character's opacity to show the one I wanted. It really helped make an efficient workflow for something like this.
